Our Story

DortDash was founded with a singular vision: to build a world-class media company that tells Africa's stories on Africa's terms. At a time when the continent's narratives were largely shaped by outside voices, DortDash set out to create platforms where African creators, journalists, and tastemakers could reach audiences at scale, with the editorial rigor and production quality of any global media house.

From those early ambitions, DortDash grew into a multi-brand digital media company spanning culture, entertainment, and lifestyle. The launch of Aura.ng established a new benchmark for African fashion and lifestyle journalism, blending editorial authority with a distinctly Pan-African perspective. Nollywood Gazette became the definitive source for coverage of Africa's booming film and entertainment industry, reaching millions of readers who follow the continent's fastest-growing cultural export. The Delish Network expanded DortDash's reach into food and culinary culture, celebrating the richness of African cuisines and the creators behind them.
